A Specialty Paper Packaging Producer – A $mart$upplySM Recovered Paper Supply Alternatives.
There were four components to this project. In this first part, Moore & Associates examined a variety of residentially sourced recovered paper streams for their suitability as furnishes for this packaging producer. FDA requirement restrictions were one of the factors in the analysis, as some of the company’s products are food contact items. Secondly, the cost of white news blank was benchmarked for several of the clients operations and thirdly Moore & Associates provided support for the client to revamp their procurement of recovered paper. Lastly, we provided recovered paper sourcing strategy input for the company to consider expanding one of its US plant operation locations.
A Paperboard Producer – A $mart$upplySM Recovered Paper Supply Assessment.
Moore & Associates performed a detailed analysis of recovered paper suppliers generation of both residential and commercial grades in a large US region in order to assist the clients strategy on siting MRFs to recover additional supply for the company’s mills.
A Plastic Industry Trade Association – A $mart$upplySM Project to Increase Plastic Film Collection/Recovery in the Paper Recycling Sector.
In this project Moore & Associates examined the collection and processing of plastic films by the US paper recycling industry. A strategy to increase film recycling was a key deliverable of the effort.
A Recycling Processor – A Market Analysis and Detailed Study of a Certain Recycling Service.
In this project, Moore & Associates performed a $mart$upplySM analysis of a single, large, metropolitan marketplace in which this company operates. The overall goal was to define paper recycling activities with a comprehensive analysis of a specialized recycling service.
A Paperboard Producer – $mart$upplySM Sourcing Support.
Moore & Associates performed an analysis of this mill’s procurement of a range of recovered paper grades. It included price benchmarking, inventory, and supply zone analyses.
A Packaging Product Producer – $mart$upplySM Sourcing Support.
In this project, Moore & Associates assisted this recycle based operation secure long-term consistent supplies of ONP and laid the groundwork for developing new sources.
A Packaging Product Producer – A Long-Range $mart$upplySM Analysis.
In this regional project, Moore & Associates examined potential sources of several residentially sourced recovered paper grades. The output of the project will be used to determine potential equipment and procurement changes to the company’s operations.
A Containerboard Manufacturer – A Preliminary $mart$upplySM Sourcing Analysis.
In this project, Moore & Associates developed basic supply information for long-range planning for a new mill operation. The grades involved were new to the company for a specialty containerboard product.
An Engineering Consulting Company – $mart$upplySM and Fore$ightSM Analyses.
Moore & Associates analyzed supply, demand and pricing trends for two grades of recovered office papers in this project. The information was to be used by this company for a feasibility study of an existing mill grade conversion.
A Tissue Producer – $mart$upplySM and Fore$ightSM Analyses.
The first part of this project was a $mart$upplySM alternative furnish analysis for this recycle tissue producer. The second half of the project included a Fore$ightSM sorted office paper price survey and a short-range price forecast for this grade in a single US region.
A Specialty Packaging Producer – An Analysis of a Product Recycling.
In this multi-part project, Moore & Associates produced the following deliverables: an analysis of the US and world Mixed Paper market, how the client’s product fits into recycling at various mills and export, and the technical feasibility of recycling the product.
A Recycle Mill Company – Two Metropolitan Area Market Research Studies.
Moore & Associates performed an in-depth analysis of paper recycling activities in two markets in this project.
A Specialty Products Producer – An Investigation of Alternative Recycled Fiber Raw Material.
In this project, Moore & Associates performed a comprehensive analysis of a wide range of potential recovered paper grades and recycled fiber pulp sources. The information provided will be input into the company’s strategic plan for moving forward with the product’s production.
A Recycling Processor – A Metropolitan Marketplace Analysis.
Moore & Associates performed a detailed analysis of solid waste and recycling activities in a US metropolitan marketplace.
An Overseas Mill Company – An Innovative Approach to Sourcing.
The commercial waste stream and its potential to produce new supplies recovered paper for export was the focus of this project. It included a background study, regional opportunities, and specific potential partner identification for the supply of commercial mixed paper.
A Recycle Paperboard Mill – Mixed Paper Sourcing Study.
In this project, Moore & Associates analyzed two US marketplaces for government assisted mixed paper supply from both residential and commercial/industrial generators.
A Product Producer – Availability of Fiber Scrap Supply.
In this project, Moore & Associates developed information on a mixed plastic/fiber supply source for this product processor’s raw material needs. The information is to be utilized in the company’s pending expansion plans.
An Integrated Recycle Paperboard Producer – Determination of Mixed Paper Availability.
Moore & Associates analyzed a large U.S. metropolitan area for the present generation and usage of mixed paper. A determination of the amount sourced from the residential sector and potential maximum mixed paper availability were studied.
