A State Government – Improving Recycling of Residential Paper.
This project, a second phase of work performed for the state of Minnesota several years ago, seeks to recycle additional recovered paper supplies from Minnesota residences. The main thrust of the project is to use specially targeted public education to improve recovery of grades in existing programs and to introduce additional grades for recovery.
A County Government – An Analysis of the Marketability of Recovered Paper Grades.
Moore & Associates analyzed the Southeastern US recycle mill industry as potential markets for this local government’s expanded curbside recycling program. An important aspect of this project was research on the acceptability of single-stream processing produced materials.
A State Government – Technical Support on Recycle Content Newsprint Issues.
Moore & Associates acted as a technical expert to advise a state committee examining future options for its recycle content newsprint law. The project also involved constructing long-range forecasts for old newspaper prices, based on different legislative newsprint recycle content scenarios.
A State Government Market Development Board – An Analysis of Old Magazine and Residential Mixed Paper Markets.
A state government, through its recycling market development committee, engaged Moore & Associates to analyze old magazine and residential mixed paper markets before encouraging communities to collect these commodities. Moore & Associates examined both domestic and export market opportunities for the materials. Included in the project was an investigation of the recovered paper grades specification/quality needs and a historical price analysis for the grades.
A US Federal Agency – Assistance With Executing a Recycling Program.
This project involved an analysis of a Federal agency’s paper recycling program, identifying potential vendors for the agency, and assessing a variety of approaches to make the system more economically viable.
A Local Government – Residential Mixed Paper Sorting Investigation.
In this project, Moore & Associates investigated a variety of operating material recovery facilities to assist the local government in designing their approach to residential mixed paper collection and processing.
A Local Government – Recovered Paper Marketing Assistance.
Moore & Associates assisted this client in determining how best to market and contract for the sale of recovered paper produced by its residential collection program.
A State Government – Training Presentation.
This project consisted of preparing and presenting an analysis of recovered paper marketplace status and trends.
